Meet Jildert, acupuncturist
I'm Jildert, an acupuncturist by both conviction and experience. My work is all about attention, precision, and a warm heart. I look beyond your specific complaint and explain clearly what your body needs. This happens in a calm environment with expert guidance. Clients often describe me as friendly and approachable, someone who walks alongside them on their journey to recovery and greater vitality.
I have a mild form of autism myself. This means, among other things, that I'm sensitive to stimuli, but also that I work in a structured way, listen carefully, and observe carefully. In practice, this helps me to pay close attention to what your body and nervous system are showing.
I completed my four-year training at the Qing-Bai Academy of Chinese Medicine in Amersfoort and Breda, where I immersed myself in the classical principles of Chinese medicine. I also earned my diploma in Western Medical Basics, giving me a firm footing in two worlds: ancient wisdom and modern medical insights.
A few years ago, I was bullied by a colleague at work. Initially, I was able to vent my frustrations as a triathlete, until I suffered a heatstroke while training in the Alps. That moment, combined with my intense training, led to an injury and long-term physical and mental health issues. Ultimately, I had to quit my job as an IT consultant. In the years that followed, I gradually discovered the value of a broad, holistic view of health.
The turning point came when I started seeing an acupuncturist. There, I experienced deep enlightenment for the first time: space in my body, relaxation in my mind, and a clear sense of recovery and progress.
From that moment on, I knew: this profession was right for me. I started training as an acupuncturist to understand how it works and to share this power with others. Acupuncture touches something fundamental in the body; it activates healing processes that go beyond what you can reason with your mind alone. You notice the difference in how you sleep, move, think, and get through your day.
For me, acupuncture is a continuous journey of discovery, deepening, and practice. I continue to educate myself and learn from workshops and fellow specialists, allowing me to continually refine my treatments.
With this knowledge and my own experience with overload, illness, and recovery, I'm happy to support you. With care and a warm heart, I'll walk alongside you, so you can gradually move closer to recovery, resilience, and a greater sense of freedom within your own body.
